Tide Water Adaptive Aquatics Center (TWAAC) is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable access to water safety resources and therapeutic aquatic exercise for children with disabilities.

Water-safety training can lead to a lifelong interest in swimming as a recreational and competitive outlet and additionally, provide an opportunity to build peer relationships through common interests.

Our program, TideWater Adaptive Swim, is designed to help athletes develop confidence and resiliency by achieving measurable, attainable goals. We aim to create a safe and fun learning environment to foster a love of and respect for the water.

We’ve developed specialized certification courses and satellite program options to help others start adaptive programs. For more information, please check out our Starting a Program page.
